Provide company support, regulatory interpretation and guidance in the following areas: Anti-boycott/Restrictive Trade Practices, Product Classification, Export Licensing, Re-export Authority, Technical Data, Compliance Training, Export Documentation, Letters of Credit, Import Assists, Import Licensing, Import Customs Clearance, Import Tariff Classification, Foreign Sourcing, Terms and Conditions, Offset and Industrial Participation, Duty Drawback, Denial Party Lists, Maintain Company Export Control List, Maintain Export/Import Records.
Prepare and approve Export License or Agreement applications. Interface with SBU International Trade Management and/or ITO to support license applications.
Monitor and status export license applications. Enter company product license information into company databases. Conduct audits to assess the export/import compliance of company and supporting operating entities.
Interacts with Customs Brokers and/or freight forwarders to ensure that export documentation, AES and import entries are filed correctly.
Participate in worldwide export, re-export and import compliance training as required. Take a leadership role in the continuing development of company based export/import knowledge. Lead or facilitate projects as needed.
Bachelor's degree in related field. 7 years experience relevant job experience.
Must be a US Citizen, permanent resident, or granted asylum or refugee status.
Comprehensive understanding of company's policies and procedures regarding ITAR, EAR, US Customs, other laws and regulations governing international trade.
Must be able to travel both domestic and international.
Fortune 200 company seeks VP of Trade Compliance; position based in Midwest and requires travel (approximately 40%) to several company facilities. Our client, a large company in the food industry seeks an Import/Export Manager. Position is a "hands-on" role yet requires a strategic thinker. The individual will manage a group of import/export analysts in a high volume environment with several hundred transactions on a monthly basis. Company does some self filing as well as working with outside vendor.
Client needs individual to improve systems and processes as well as communication and service levels. This is a headquarters role serving multiple divisions.
Candidates with food industry experience, a brokers license, and strong educational and work history will be considered.
Compensation includes salary 75k-90k plus bonus, great benefits and relocation assistance to this southern Wisconsin location.
